0:45.0	all of them interesting nuggets, and one which is worthy of a dramatized series.

0:54.0	It's a beautiful fall day here in Southeast Virginia,
0:58.0	and I've been rewatching the 2001 American War drama, Band of Brothers,
1:03.0	this time on Netflix, and finding it to be, as I did the first time,
1:07.0	mostly historically true, well worth watching,
1:11.0	and produced in a way that accurately shows the sacrifice of our country servicemen
1:15.0	in the European theater and later the Pacific theater of World War II in the early to mid-1940s.
1:23.0	I had no idea until I found this story that the nickname
1:27.0	and scream and eagle shoulder patch for the 101st had ties to the Civil War,
1:32.0	and here's the story.
1:34.0	The Band of Brothers series dramatizes the history of Easy Company,
1:38.0	2nd Battalion, 506 Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.
1:44.0	That being known by the nickname, the Scream and Eagles.
1:48.0	In the United States, through its participation in major actions in Europe,
1:53.0	up until Japan's capitulation at the end of World War II.
1:57.0	The patch is still in use today, and the 101st is still called upon
