We have a bit of a college football edition of Nextpats coming at you this week with college football playoff underway.

I've got three games this weekend that I want you to keep an

eye on and 10 names in those three college football playoff games that I want you to keep an eye on

because they're probably 10 of the 50 or so best players in this year's draft. And they could be Patriots. You never know. They need somebody

to help them turn this thing around in 2025 and beyond. So why not 10 of these guys, or one of

these 10, or maybe two of these 10, to help them moving forward. We'll dig a little bit deeper

into those names and how they might fit with the Patriots a little bit later in the program here.

But I want to start by addressing some more recent Patriots topics when it comes to not only the team itself and big picture, but specifically the coaching staff, the talent on the roster, how I see this thing playing out,

what some of their options might be.

So first and foremost, Patriots set to be headed out to Buffalo where they will be shellacked,

in my opinion.

But on the other end of that shalacking, will they just be one step closer to moving on from their head coach?

My opinion is no, and I wouldn't put it at 100%.

I've never put it at 100%.

But what I have said, and I still believe, is this.

It would take something borderline unprecedented, unexpected, and, in my opinion, beyond beyond football for Gerard Mayo not to be here

in 2025 and not at least get the opportunity to start year two. Think about the Bill Belichick

plan back in 2000, 2001. You know who was on the hot seat early in 2001? Bill Belichick. Then Tom Brady

showed up. Things went pretty well for them in that year two season for Bill Belichick. Then Tom Brady showed up.
