Summary

Something I wish Christianity would address more often is the normal battle with sin. Or, to put it another way: temptation. Temptation is a normal experience. That word "normal" is the key. We tend to think that as we grow in Christ, temptation decreases. But that is not what Paul says about our experience. It’s important to understand that you will not only struggle with sin, meaning you’re fighting it, but the temptation to sin may actually increase as you mature in the faith. Paul gives us some very important ways to think about temptation and how to endure it. This is a really important conversation. If you're struggling and feel the weight of temptation beating you down, this episode is for you. JUSTIN’S BOOK: MORE THAN FORGIVEN JOIN THE THEOCAST COMMUNITY! If you are tuning in right now, you just missed like the Theocast gag reel that was going on before we started recording this episode. Only our back-in production guys got to hear that fun stuff. So anyway, maybe one day we'll air some of these things and nobody will ever listen to us again. You mean can you give them the potential title we're going to use? No, we can't. We can't. We've got to keep something secret, John. Secrets. Your hosts today in all seriousness, or at least semi-serristen, so John Moffat, pastor of Grace Reformed Church in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and I am Justin Purdue, pastor of Covenant Baptist Church in Asheville, North Carolina.
