| 0:17.2 | Welcome to our rosary meditation. |
| 0:23.0 | We are meditating on the life of Jesus so we can have a deeper friendship with him. Today, the temptation of Jesus in the desert, |
| 0:26.0 | which in turn unveils our own temptations. |
| 0:30.0 | So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. |
| 0:34.6 | Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. |
| 0:38.0 | The first temptation of the devil is to turn our priorities upside down to get them out of order. |
| 0:48.0 | The devil says to Jesus, if you are the son of God, tell these stones to turn into bread. |
| 0:55.0 | Jesus responds, |
| 0:57.0 | Man does not live by bread alone, but by listening to God. |
| 1:08.6 | Jesus says the top priority is a relationship with God, talking to him from the heart, listening to him and just spending time with him, then everything else will fall into place. |
| 1:17.8 | But the devil says no, that's totally unrealistic. |
| 1:21.9 | You've got to take care of your material responsibilities first, because no one |
| 1:26.2 | else will take care of you. And then you have to make sure you take care of your health, because |
| 1:30.2 | if you lose your health, you have nothing left. And oh, don't forget that you need downtime, |
| 1:34.6 | time to veg and rest. |
| 1:36.6 | You need entertainment. |
| 1:38.4 | You'll always have time for God later. |
| 1:41.6 | That's the temptation of the devil. Do we fall into this trap? Do we take care of |
| 1:50.1 | the tyranny of the urgent and leave God for later? |
| 1:54.0 | And when we do this, are we really happy? |
| 1:57.6 | Are we more at peace, more content? |
