Welcome to our Rosary meditation.

I literally just flew in from Florida, just arrived home from the airport.

Sandy, my Habibi,

stayed with our daughter Sarah who is about seven months pregnant to help her out and

Teresa the Great is up in Lawrence with her brother

Xavier so I texted a good friend and said I need need someone to pray the rosary with tonight.

He was gracious enough to come by at the last minute at a late hour to pray the Rosary with me.

So thank God for friendship.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all those

we've promised to pray for. Let's especially offer this rosary for the wife of

Randy Salisbury, the president of Meage High School who just passed away for the

repose of her soul and for all of their family and to continue to pray for Steve Nordstrom and for the thousands of people

who have been submitted to our prayer list.

Today we are still meditating on the virtue of temperance and specifically looking at the

vice of greed.

The screw tape letters written by C.S. Lewis is a conversation between a master demon and his

apprentice on strategies to turn humans away from God. At one point the master demon suggests,

our business is to get them away from the eternal,

that is, away from thinking about heaven

and from the present moment.
