How are you doing today?

So far, so good. Tell everybody where you're coming from.

I am in San Mateo, California, just south of San Francisco and basically in Silicon Valley.

Been in this area for, geez, a little over 15 years, how time flies.

Are you experiencing all the smoke from all the fires out there too?

Occasionally there is, right now there's a, like it was a little hazy this morning, we'll see what happens.

But mostly there's, last month or so there's been kind of an onshore breeze, and so the rest of the country gets to see what happens when an area of the size

that half the state of Rhode Island is on fire, right?

So in previous years, we have had it bad enough with like significant ashfall and things like that.

But as everyone's discovering, it's just where the wind blows.

Yeah, I had a house for a long time on the edge of the air glades, and then, you know,

every once in a while there'd be a fire out there because of lightning or something, and you'd

wake up the next morning and your car is filled with ash.

So I've kind of, I've experienced it a little bit, but like, you get that for a day or two,

like not for a month.

Well, what can one say? Even in the last years, there's been some things that are noticeable, right?

This is our world now, and now we're hoping that it's not going to get worse and trying to do what we can.
