41, 41 days to go until the American people make a choice that will shape the future of the

21st century.

This is the warning.

The choice we make in 41 days together as a country, a nation of 340 million people, will impact

the lives of scores of tens of millions of Americans who

aren't born yet. This is something that should be top of mind. If you love your country,

if you care about its continuity, the story of America is the story of a people, Americans. One of the oldest

stories in American history recounts the day when Dr. Franklin left Independence Hall during

the Constitutional Convention and was asked by a woman what it is that had been achieved inside.

He replied a republic, if you can keep it. The country has kept the republic. Generation to generation

has handed it down. Tremendous sacrifice. One of the men that Donald Trump venerates is Robert E. Lee. Robert E. Lee's

house was Arlington House. It was confiscated from him at the beginning of the Civil War.

America's war dead were buried there. Today, that place is Arlington National Cemetery.

It's a place where where Trump a few weeks ago

desecrated America's war dead on our most hallowed ground.

His campaign staff assaulted a cemetery employee, a custodian of the reverence and the respect

of the nation for our fallen.

And that assaulted employee is terrified to press charges.

We've come to an inflection point now. The country is voting. Donald Trump and his arsonist of

choice, J.D. Vance, are traveling the country, lying at an industrial scale, which is a primary marker of fascism,

making up out of whole cloth stories designed to inflame, to incite, to make the atmosphere

more dangerous, to trigger the passions of the crowd, to turn the crowd
