a journey that will take him to three countries,

but no plans to visit Israel.

Hey, good morning, Jean-A. President Trump heads to the Middle East on Monday for the first major foreign trip of his second term, stopping in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

Now, Saudi Arabia was also Trump's first foreign trip during his first term, and he's once again breaking tradition by skipping over America's closest neighbors.

This signals the close political and economic ties between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia under the Trump administration.

And the Gulf has played a critical role in mediating conflicts around the world, including the war in Ukraine, with Saudi Arabia serving as a venue

for separate U.S. talks with both Ukraine and Russia.

Now, this trip also comes as the Trump administration tries to make progress over the war in Gaza,

and as the U.S. starts another round of nuclear talks with Iran.

President Trump has threatened to dismantle Iran's nuclear program with military force if diplomacy fails, Jane.

And, Selena, there are new developments in the push-for ceasefire in Ukraine.

Yeah, that's right. For the first time the Trump administration and European allies are coming together in presenting an ultimatum to Putin.
