President Trump says he authorized a new wave of attacks to start today against Iran, but he called them off.

Trump says serious negotiations are happening now, so he wants to give them a chance to play out

in case a peace deal is within reach. But Trump warned a full, large-scale assault on Iran could

still come on a moment's notice. Also of note, the war between Israel and the terror group

Hezbollah in Lebanon has continued, despite recent ceasefire extensions. Now Lebanon's health ministry says 3,000 people have died,

including hundreds of women and children,

and more than a million people have been displaced by the fighting.

Still negotiations between Lebanese and Israeli officials are also ongoing.

The largest mosque in San Diego, California, came under fire yesterday, and now law enforcement

are investigating the shooting as a hate crime. Police say two teenage shooters killed three

men at the mosque, then themselves. Investigators reportedly found some anti-Islamic

writings in their car, though they would not get into the details. The mosque was also

home to a school for children, but they were all able to make it out safely. One of the men killed

was a mosque security guard, and police believed before he died, he acted heroically and helped
