One of the fundamental differences between the Islamic paradigm and Muslim culture and

Islamic law versus Western civilization when it comes to raising children. They have made a category called teenager.

Whereas for us, a young man or woman is indeed a young man or woman, but a young man or a young woman, and that means

that once you become Balir, which is 13, 14, 15 at max, at max, you are going to be treated in the eyes of Allah like an adult.

So teenagers are not children. They are young adults. Once they are Balir,

responsibility becomes on them, and they are primarily responsible in the eyes of Allah for what they do.

And therefore we as parents need to not just tell them this and train them with this,

but then act in accordance with this reality. Your teenager is a young adult.

And what that means is that before they answer to you, they have to answer to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
