This is Martha McCallum, and this is a story that unfolded a couple of weeks ago,

and it is absolutely tragic.

And it happened in New Jersey.

And the initial reports were that there was a bike accident

and that a car accidentally hit a bicycle and killed two young teenage girls in Cranford, New Jersey.

But the more you dug into this story, the more you

started to learn that the family believes that there was much more behind this story and behind

the driver of that Jeep and his potential alleged motivation. So Eric Sean, veteran Fox reporter, has dug into this story,

and he secured an exclusive interview with the mother, Fulaniotis, of 15-year-old Maria. And I'm

bringing Eric in right now. Eric, Sean, thank you very much for joining us. And thank you

for bringing attention to this story today. Of course, Martha, as you say, it is tragic and seemingly

so unnecessary. Here's what happened. Maria Nyotis, a high school student. She's on the e-bike

with her good friend, Isabella Sal Salas and they're riding down their

street where they live. This has happened in Kranford, New Jersey, as you said, when that Jeep

slams into them going 70 miles an hour. At first, it seems like a tragic accident. But the more

authorities learn about this, the family says it is not. I conducted an exclusive and very emotional interview

today with Maria's mother, Fula, Nyotis. The family says that the driver of that vehicle,

he's been charged with two counts of murder now, but they say the driver of that vehicle

was infatuated with Maria, that the driver identified as 17-year-old

Vincent Battoloro.

Batalaro had been infatuated with Maria, had been stalking her for three months.
