0:59.2	He is a glaciologist who has helped unravel the mysteries of Earth's frozen territories.
1:06.4	As a senior research scientist at the University of Colorado Boulder's Earth Science Observation Center,
1:13.9	Ted investigates the dynamic environments of ice sheets, glaciers, and sea ice. Ted earned his
1:21.1	PhD in geology from the University of Colorado in 1991. His career has focused on understanding climate change impacts on
1:30.3	ice in the Arctic. He has gone to Antarctica over 19 times and brave the harshest conditions to
1:38.0	collect measurements on remote glaciers. Ted currently leads the science coordination office for the International Twadies Glacier Collaboration,
1:48.1	a major multinational effort to assess the stability of that glacier.
1:54.0	He also co-directs the Tarsan Project, creating advanced radar maps of hidden and Arctic terrain.
2:01.6	Ted has published over 150 articles on cryosphere topics from glaciology to paleo-climate records in ice cores.
