Today, we are going to be talking about ski tuning and more specifically World Cup ski tuning

with one of the greatest ski racers of all time and I think it's fair to say one of the most

analytical ski racers of all time, Ted Liggetty.

I am currently out here in Sun Valley, Idaho, where just today,

I'm recording this intro on Thursday, March 27th, we wrapped up an incredible several days of

World Cup finals ski racing, and two days ago, I recorded this conversation with Ted

just after we'd watch some GS racing,

and the day before, they'd run the SuperGee.

So this is definitely going to be a bit of a different episode of Gear 30,

because I think to really be talking about ski tuning and specifically

going fast, well, that felt really interwoven with our conversation about the races in general.

And so really, you're going to be hearing us talk about both things. And I think another thing

that makes this conversation

interesting is that the racers were definitely facing some pretty tricky conditions and one

very challenging course here in Sun Valley for the Super G and GS races. So we're going to be

talking about that for sure. And then mixed in with that are some of

Ted's really interesting thoughts about the adjustments that these World Cup athletes are making

and the adjustments that are being made to their ski equipment. So these conversations that we
