Summary
How has technology, social media, cell phones and the internet impacted humanity?
In this episode, Amy uncovers the upsurge of technology and the many facets of how it impacts not only us as adults, but our children, teens and youth. She goes over technology's effect on us not only emotionally and physically, but also spiritually. Is this part of the plan of the enemy, to keep us in spiritual bondage as well as divide us individually and relationally?

| 0:00.0 | Hey everybody. Welcome back to Eyes on the Right podcast. I am your host, Amy, and I am looking forward and thrilled today to be back |
| 0:22.7 | with you. I have been taking some time off, and so there might be some lapse time where you don't |
| 0:29.0 | hear from me, but I'm here, you guys. I have not left you. It is coming up on almost a year since I've |
| 0:34.6 | had this podcast, and I couldn't do it without all of you and I just want to |
| 0:38.4 | thank you guys for donating, for sharing, for listening, for leaving positive reviews. I appreciate |
| 0:45.1 | that. I appreciate the emails and the comments. So thank you all so much for everything. And today I just |
| 0:52.3 | want to dive into something that's really been heavy on my heart. |
| 0:55.3 | In fact, I don't even know where to go with this because I've been praying about, |
| 1:00.1 | Lord, what do you want me to say in regards to social media, online, cell phones, how this |
| 1:06.5 | relates to us and how there's tie-ins spiritually to utilizing technology, computers, our phones, |
| 1:15.0 | etc. How that ties in spiritually, how the enemy uses this to distract us, but also bring |
| 1:21.1 | awareness and attention to scientifically, psychologically, what the internet does, what our cell phones do to us and our kids |
| 1:30.9 | and how we can be more discerning and aware in the days ahead because our cell phones aren't |
| 1:36.9 | going away, you guys. We are on them all day, every day. And in fact, there's a statistic that I got |
| 1:43.2 | from Pew Research, and it says that 97% of |
| 1:46.2 | Americans in 2024 have a cell phone. So everybody has a cell phone. Probably everyone has a |
| 1:53.1 | little computer in their hand, except my brother-in-law who still has a flip phone. And, |
| 1:58.1 | you know, we always tease him, but he's actually the smartest one |
| 2:02.4 | because these cell phones, while they are handy and while we can gain so much access, I mean, |
| 2:09.9 | let's think of the positive, right? No longer do we have to go to a library to gain research |
| 2:15.6 | on a topic that we want to study. No longer do we have to go to a person's |
| 2:21.1 | house to visit them or flip through their photo albums. We have it all online. We can talk to people. |
