Oh, maybe not.

Well, maybe as far as equipment goes, because I actually updated my setup once again.

It wasn't really something I wanted to do.

And as listeners know, I updated my, well, how I record the podcasts in general.

And what I did was I invested in a sure microphone as well as a Zoom live track L8.

But I don't think that the Zoom was giving enough audio power if you will to the microphone.

I had to really crank up the gain to hear anything and I wasn't happy about it.

And after some research, I found that a preamp is the solution in this setup that I've got.

And the sure microphone demands a lot of power. It's a really high quality mic. So that's what I did.

I got a tube MP. It cost about 100 bucks. And I proceeded to hook it up and it didn't work at all.

Well, let me clarify that.

What you do with this tube MP is, and I'm glad I read the instructions, you go from the XLR coming out of the mic into this and then I figured, well, then I would go XLR out of that into the board.

And it was the noisiest thing you've ever heard.

It just was like in the background the whole time.

And my voice was way louder.

But, I mean, it sounded like I was yelling at Darth Vader.

So went and read the instructions, and that is not the way you hook it up.
