It's the day one show of the Macworld Expo, High World, 2012. I'm going to kick off this episode of Tech Fan here in the media room at the Macworld Expo,

and I'm with Steve Sandy of the unofficial Apple Weblog.

Hey, Steve, how are you doing this week?

I'm doing just fine.

Of course, I have my annual Macworld cold,

so if I sound a little odd, it's not your microphone. Do you bring the cold with you,

or do you get it while you're here? No, I always bring it with me. It's packed in my largest

suitcase, and I just taken along with me. So, yeah, I don't know.

This is probably the third or fourth time I've had this happen, but, you know, I'm still enjoying it.

So you're a busy guy here at the Macworld Expo, like a lot of the media guys. You've got a lot of

your rig set up here and it looks like you're in editing mode what are you doing here well

actually about every hour or so i'm going down onto the floor we've got pre-arranged uh interviews

with a lot of the vendors ranging anywhere from you know five minutes show me what you've got to

earlier today i had one that went about an hour.

And what we're doing with those is condensing them down to just a little short video blast

that they'll will then put out with a post on Tua.

And we found these are pretty popular.

People like to be able to have that kind of feeling of being on the floor, walking around, hearing the noise, seeing the weirdos walking around in the background.

Do you want to give them the feeling of being here without being here?

Exactly. So they don't have to, you know, catch a cold. They don't have to, you know, necessarily pay the airfare or do whatever.
