Where'd David go? And welcome to Tech Fan, episode number 57.

Now, I had originally talked to David at the end of episode 56 about when we were going to record this show.

The problem was, here in the United States, we have a holiday which is called Thanksgiving.

And Thanksgiving happens the last Thursday of November, or the third November, whatever.

Third November.

Geez, I can't speak at all tonight.

Well, see, that's the problem.

I'm recording this at night, and I'm totally not used to recording a podcast at night anymore.

So David couldn't come on on Friday because for David to come in, my wife has to take the kids and leave.

And that would have meant leaving on Black Friday morning.

And there's no way in hell I ever could have convinced her to do so.

So David and I were going to record the show Wednesday.

And unfortunately, on a personal level, I had a real tragedy happen in our family.

My brother-in-law passed away.

He was a police officer in Texas.

And he was in great health, 51 years old, or 52 years old, I'm sorry, and he had a heart

attack playing racquetball and died.

And the whole family is just devastated.

And, you know, especially being real close to the holidays, it kind of puts a, uh, an even more of a rough spin on things.
