And like we said in the intro to the show today, we've got a special guest. We're

talking with Tom Schmidt. Tom, how are you? Great, guys. How are you doing? Good. Now, a lot of people on the

the MyMac podcasting network listeners will probably recognize your name as someone who contributes

articles occasionally at MyMac.com.

You've been doing that for quite a while, but your knowledge and your expertise in the Mac

goes way beyond an occasional review or a guest on a podcast.

Yeah, I've been fixing Macs in one way or another since about 1986 or so.

That's a long time.

What do you think, well, let's back up and first say you work for an Apple specialist.

Yep.

And a lot of new Mac users, obviously, if they're relatively new within the last 10 years,

they probably bought their Mac either online from Apple or they've gone into an Apple store.

But that's not always the best solution for a lot of people, I don't think.

Well, it's the obvious choice, but Apple has several different classifications of resellers,

the highest of which in the United States is the Apple Specialist, which is classed above their own stores even.
