I'm pretty good.

Just arrived back from London, been working down in the smoke, as we call it.

In the smoke?

Do you know why we call it the smoke?

Because it was smoky back in call it the smoke because it was

smoky back in the day uh yeah it was famous in the 50s for what they called these pea supers which

were these um kind of smoke mixed with fog things that were they make i mean people were there was one

uh winter where people were dying in the hundreds

from this stuff and that's when we decided to introduce some legislation

so since then London has had a reputation as being smoky

so they've cleaned all the buildings up now but for a long time even when I was a kid

I remember all the kind of buildings which had any sort of marble or anything on it were all blackened by, you know, 100 years of so, yeah.

Are you surprised I knew that?

I guess you've watched some show at home's serials and movies over the years, which kind of always portray London as foggy and smoky.

No, I just remember reading a book once.

I had that little tidbit in there.

Just one of those things that stick with you.
