In the first two seasons of this podcast, we've looked at some of the biggest questions facing tech, today and in the future.

And now there's no question that technology and the software revolution in particular has done a lot of wonderful things for the world. But in the

last few years there's been this growing sense that the revolution comes with

serious downsides that many of the companies we once treated as curious underdogs have grown

into Goliaths. It's the idea that Facebook's platform presents a unique threat to

democracy and the safety of some minority populations,

or that Amazon's size presents an economic threat to innovation,

or that Apple, in designing the most profitable product

in the history of modern computers,

also designed an instrument of harmful behavioral addiction.
