Welcome to our October 12th and 13th edition of Tech Talk for 2024,

Royal Victoria Marathon, and Thanksgiving Long Weekend Edition.

Glad to have you along.

Special welcome to those of you that have come to our city of the gardens

to go thumpa, thumpa, thumpo on the roads.

The 12,500 people taking part in the various Royal Victoria Marathon races this weekend.

In fact, even though the main races are on Sunday,

if you're listening to a Sunday afternoon, you're probably waiting for somebody to finish already.

Hopefully they were walking it and did.

But Saturday morning as we come to you live, the Thrifty Foods Kids Run going on down at Willows Beach in Oak Bay.

Then the main race on Sunday morning, there's lots of traffic closures.

So I put the map, very well laid out map with all the street closures into the show notes at tech-hifentococke.
