Today, it is the 80 millionth, 37th birthday of the Elasmosaurus, BC's provincial fossil and fossil emblem.

It was found in 1988 by Mike Trask.

And there's a celebration up at the Courtney and District Museum this weekend.

And here I thought Gary was BC's fossil.
