So today we're looking back to the beginning of the pandemic, something that is actually

kind of hard to do when you're in a sustained and sort of never-ending state of crisis like

we've been in for multiple years now.

Yeah.

But because the current pandemic policy landscape is being talked about as if it is the only

way under the sun this could have ever happened or ever been handled, we thought it would

be good to look back at some of the early policy proposals that were turned out by conservative

think tanks on how to safely

reopen as soon as possible from, you know, the first couple months. So we'll look at,

you know, what interventions were common sense to these people at the beginning that are now

off the table and look at sort of how that stacks up to what we've actually seen implemented.

Right. Specifically, like, the stuff that

seemed common sense, even to, again, you know, no, no, like, uh, got, got leave, you know,

bleeding heart diehards over here. Yeah, a lot of these people were writing stuff about, like, how we need

to drastically reduce the usage of healthcare services in the years preceding.

You know, we don't need Medicare for all.

We need to get overutilizers to stop over utilizing.

There are no neoliberals in foxholes, I guess.
