Thank you so much for having me.

Loretta is a former academic who is currently navigating the pandemic with her children,

who among them, one, is medically vulnerable. And we recently

connected over Twitter. She responded to a tweet that I just posted saying, the pandemic has been

really lonely for disabled and immune compromise people. And I don't say enough how grateful I am

for all the friends who've taken this up and refused to shut up about how absent the consideration of the medically vulnerable has been from the COVID response.

And Loretta, you replied sharing this thread that you had written about your son that was just so fantastic that, you know, and you and I got talking.

And I really wanted to have this conversation on the show

so we could share it with people. Thank you. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's been a very intense

experience, kind of feeling so sidelines, having so much to say. And then for our kids,

it's just such an important time.

And they're just being completely left off the table in popular media.

You know, like you singled out the Atlantic.

I mean, you know, it's, yeah, it's, yeah, it's been notorious for just sweeping the needs of, I mean, not, I mean, disabled kids need whatever kid needs.

They just kind of need it more, you know.

So we're sweeping kids under the table in general.

Right.

And then making it even more unsafe.
