And today, unfortunately, the three of us are going to be discussing the findings impact and

fallout around a newly released report that leverages the kind of mode and medium of

scientific evidence review in a way that threatens to worsen an

already bad status quo of transcare for kids in the United Kingdom called the Cass Review.

Many of our listeners have probably heard about this, but regardless, I'm just going to start

us with some context here, so everyone's on the same page.

The Cass Review is a large systematic literature

review on the standards and practices of, to use the clinical term, gender affirming medical

care for kids in the UK, that has reignited the age-old, decontextualized narrative of the

scary newness of medical transition for children that our brilliant co-host,
