Haley Rawl, and today's topic is boobs. More specifically, fake boobs, and even more specifically,

my fake boobs, I am getting a boob job. And this decision was very much not made

lightly. And as you can imagine, a lot came up for me around my Mormon conditioning, around

patriarchy, around beauty standards, around capitalism. There is so much to be discussed about getting a breast

augmentation. I have a lot of thoughts about it. And I'm excited to share here on the Patreon because

I feel like we can get even more into the details that I don't feel as comfortable sharing

on the public feed. I want to talk about the exact sizing I chose

and why. More information on the doctor I chose and why. So we are going to be getting into all of

that today. Growing up in the Mormon church, breast augmentations were super common. There is some pretty significant statistics about

Mormon women and how high the rates of plastic surgery are. Obviously, there's a lot of

perfectionism in Mormon culture. I think that that perfectionism is particularly acute when it comes to

women and women's bodies. I also think there's a lot when you are a practicing Mormon and still,

I mean, I still sit with a lot of this around pleasing your male partner if you're in a heterosexual relationship and feeling

like it's almost your duty to be the sexiest version of yourself in order to at the most extreme

maintain fidelity like in Mormonism I don't think it was a far reach that some of the messaging was, yeah,

you got to stay sexy or else your husband has a higher chance of looking at porn or cheating

on you, which is cuckoo, kufucking, too.

But there was that messaging.

And then I think even though it's not as extreme now not being Mormon,

there's still, you know, all of that still kind of sticks with you. I have not only left the church,

I feel like I've dedicated a lot of my life and now my career around empowering women.
