Israelis view the government as their daddy, as the daddy is going to keep them safe.

You're living in this, you know, jungle.

Like you said, all you're surrounded by animals.

And the government keeps us safe from it.

We don't always like it.

We don't always trust it.

But ultimately, these are good guys who care about us.

And that's, you know, you have your from from Ben-Gurion through to Began, through to Robin,

that was the feeling in Israel.

And it was more mostly justified in the sense that prime ministers cared about whether

Israelis live or die, you know, generally speaking.
