Today is April 1st, 2024. And one year ago,

on April 1st, 2023, the Medicaid unwinding officially began. So we're going to be talking

about the unwinding, which is the single largest loss of healthcare coverage in United States

history. And we're going to be having a

conversation marking one year since it officially started and checking in on a recent update.

The Medicaid unwinding is a really big deal, though you may not have heard much about it.

And as we'll get into later on, we're already seeing the devastating material effects this

is set into motion. So far, 19 million people and counting have

been kicked off of Medicaid, even though many of the people who were purged still qualified.
