The other thing, number two, is that this is why it's so important.

Monoclonal antibodies are one of the reasons why it's so important that every time we talk about the fucking trips waiver,

we say it's very, very important that when the Biden administration announced that they were going to support, quote unquote, support a trips waiver, a narrow trips waiver.

The narrow part is that it is about the intellectual property of vaccines and not of things like monoclonal antibodies because there is, there was a call the monoclonal antibody treatments that were being developed

for COVID. One of the things in the initial trips waiver proposal was the idea that all

vaccines and therapeutics and other stuff developed for COVID would then be able to be

subject to intellectual property waivers. And who gets left off of this if you're only doing

vaccines fucking regeneron Eli Lilly, GlaxoSmithKline, these companies that make

vonoclonal antibodies which are like again these are incredibly important. And they're new.

But like 20 years old those too. But these are like incredibly important and frankly, like fascinating, amazing drugs. Like these are, these are, ironically, all the things that people say, uh, all the things that people say is like excuses for the vaccines or whatever of like doing tech transfer is hard, too hard or whatever. Like these things, you know, you could have at least a little bit more of an argument.

You wouldn't be just like as blatantly lying across like out of the side of your face about

it because these are, you know, complicated and difficult to make and they take a long time.

But still, that doesn't mean that they couldn't be produced elsewhere. That doesn't

mean that they couldn't be produced, you know. And this is the, this is the tech transfer,

the difficulty of tech transfer to has been the thing that pharmaceutical companies have

used and lobbied rhetorically as the reason why we can't do generic biologics, right?

Right. Because of the, like the the complexity of Mabs, right, of monoclonal antibodies as drugs is

enormously more complex than making a vaccine.
