What's absurd to me about this whole situation, and this isn't the case, what I'm about to say is in the case, this is so much for Pfizer, but for Moderna, which is also like having production problems and is not, uh, and or at the very least is not, um, producing quite as much, partially because Pfizer is just a gigantic, uh, company that already had a bunch of productive capacity and moderna had to make all these over

the last couple of months as they did had to make all of these like uh you know secondary

relationships with other manufacturers who could like manufacture the at their actual supply right

but the u.s government through the NIH paid for and barda and stuff paid for basically all of the, of Moderna's research cost and

production that went into actually creating the so-called Moderna vaccine. And so, you know,

under the Bidol Act, you could quite literally, I mean, what does it say? It says, like,

if you find that, uh, quote, action is necessary because contractor or a signy

has not taken or is not expected to take within a reasonable time effective steps to achieve

practical application of the invention or if quote action is necessary to alleviate health

or safety needs which are not reasonably satisfied by the contractor,

you can break the patent.

And a lot of people have, like, interpreted that as you can license people to do generics.

Like, no, you could literally stand up your own, like the federal government could stand up

manufacturing today.

Like, they could begin the process today.

Right.

Of mass manufacturing the Moderna vaccine, but that's nowhere.

That's like not even anywhere on the table, even with all this Pfizer bullshit happening.

It's like a textbook example of the March in Provision, which has not been used, but there's, you know, a huge campaign to try and bake.

This is explicitly what it's for. Right. Exactly. And when you, and when you, like, listen to the arguments that, like, the pharmaceutical manufacturers make, because they know that this could happen, right? Right. In fact, they've known that this could happen. Yeah, that's why some of them didn't take government money on purpose. FISA included. And there was a big op-ed that ran in December in the New York Times where they explicitly argued

against this sort of action.

And importantly, they didn't argue that you couldn't use buy a doll to do this or it
