Public Service announcement. much. Public service announcements make me so mad.

And I don't really know why they just, they really like stick in my craw. But I think what it is and I think it's important to note that elected officials, civil servants, governments love public service announcements. It is just the magic sauce of being a person with power

because it says that they're doing something, they're very busy, they're solving the problem, but it also

has a secret message.

Public service announcements say that accidental death is about our mistakes, our foibles, the fact that we just don't know better.

I mean, gosh, I just didn't know that you weren't supposed to not let pedestrians cross.

You were supposed to stop your car.

I mean, without these flyers.

Vision Zero in New York City has really fallen in love

with the public service announcement.

So someone will die on the streets and you'll see cops standing on the street corner,

handing out flyers to drivers that are like, did you know it's illegal to run people over?

And then they're chasing down cyclists

and they're like, did you know that blinky lights

...
