I can't stand it.

I don't like its opening imagery.

I think it's misogynistic. I just find it. I don't like its opening imagery. I think it's misogynistic. I just find it repellent.

Now, I can understand the intellectual thing that's going on, but I just find it repellent.

Yeah, well, it definitely does have some misogyny in there, but several of the books do. Nahum has some misogyny in there, but several of the books do. Not in the Hume has some

misogynistic elements as well. And certainly don't want to apologize for the

patriarchy and misogyny there. But the, you know, the narrative, the Jose and Gomer narrative really becomes quite muted after chapter three.

And even some of the text seems to deconstruct the metaphor.

And so you have Jose 11.

What's the verse?

I should have it right in front of me.

God declares, I am not a man.

I am God and not a man.

The word there is, like many languages, man can mean man or husband.

And this whole text is you kind of get an internal view of God there in Hosea 11,
