I have been very nervous to do this particular episode, but when I was starting the

0:06.8

Patreon I knew that this would be the place to do it due to the subject matter at hand, which is my friendship breakup.

0:16.0

And I've talked here and there on Girls Camp Maine and on Instagram a little bit

0:21.0

about experiencing this friendship breakup but have not really

0:26.7

delved into it mostly because I feel like it's difficult to talk about without some

0:32.3

context as to what happened, but I haven't wanted to share that context publicly,

0:39.0

and this feels like the perfect middle ground to be able to talk about it. The thing I have been wrestling with is one part of me says this is my story and I deserve to tell my story this is a very significant thing

1:48.0

And it just seems like a particularly taboo and stigmatized topic to talk about.

1:55.0

And I think it's because it's complicated and it's nuanced and there's always another party involved.

2:01.0

I think there's a lot of reasons that that's the case but as you know I like to

2:06.8

talk about things that I feel are important and are not talked about enough and

2:11.6

for that reason if anyone listening feels a little bit

2:15.8

less alone or seen or understood in any way then I feel like this is worth it.

2:21.9

I do want to make a juicy fat disclaimer up front which is that I was not a
