So, uh,

Haggai, you know, he's actually buddies with,

with Zachariah, right?

He appears kind of in tandem in the book of Ezra with,

with Zachariah, um,

and, uh, uses the same dating formula,

appears to be from the same context.

Haggai appears to be in the context that the people have returned from Babylon,

so we're sometime into the Persian period,

and something that you can kind of catch if you read between the lines in the book of the 12 and in the other parts of the Bible, but it can be confirmed by geologists.

There was actually a pretty significant famine going on in Yehoud during this time, Yehoud being the Persian province of Judah.

And so it was a rough time for the people.

And so I kind of sometimes have a little bit of sympathy for the people whom Haggai is calling out

because they've come back to Yehud, this tiny little province, they're experiencing drought, famine,
