That is what happened is that when we saw new information, we did not proceed.

When we saw the things were being made worse, we did not proceed with that in mind.

We did not change our plan and we continue to move forward with these kind of false frameworks in place,

which have resulted in things like losing the efficacy of Avushel, which we lost this week when the FDA decertified it for emergency use authorization.

I want to note, too, that the point about the fact that they clearly made a plan and just stuck with it regardless of new information

coming in. Obviously, we've said a version of that on the show before, but I want to highlight

one thing that actually just came out recently in reporting, you know, on the occasion of Jeff

Zions going back into the White House. This is something at least, I don't know if, like, you know, maybe this was out there

around before, but I at least personally had not seen this before.

Yeah, same.

So New York Times, January 22nd, 2023, posted this piece about Jeff Zions and, you know,

trying to elaborate on what his role as chief of staff would entail and clearly got some

reflection from former aides or staffers on his time leading the COVID response. And here is this

quote, which I just think is fascinating, but also I do think, as we'll talk about in a second,

I think proves our point really. Here it is.

He's so frequently referred to the national strategy for the COVID-19 response and pandemic preparedness,
