So now the problem is now being spun as a positive here where, you know, we're getting people off to work.

Regardless of how terrible the working conditions are, we don't care that.

We don't care about setting a stable floor for working conditions.

We're just going to, you know, you know, drive this thing, drive this thing forward. And on the, like, great depression of the Great Recession comparison, I agree that, you know, there is lessons from the response to the pandemic for that situation. And the packages that we did

would have been perfect responses to the Great Recession and would have like driven like a strong

economic recovery. But it's a different situation. This is this is a different thing that we're

quite like like like like it's such last war thinking to be like well what we did was a really good response to this other problem which is not the problem we're having.

Like it's part of it's a symptom of the it's a symptom of the problem.

You're dealing with this symptom but like in a most cursely level you have to treat the illness which is the illness. You're dealing with this symptom, but like in a most cursely level, you have to treat the illness,

which is the illness.

That is the most galling.

It's the most galling thing to me when people look comparatively and they're like, wow, look

at this huge fiscal response that the U.S. and all of these other countries did to the pandemic,

assuming that the goal of the fiscal response was it's supposed to be a classic Keynesian thing

of stimulating demand and getting people back to work, as opposed to what it was the initial intention in the way that people were talking about is you can't see it that way.

You know, they're pushing in the wrong direction and, you know, helping people to drive bad lessons from what's going on.

And you go, like, maybe not drive in the wrong direction.

And then they say, well, it would be impossible for them to actually fix any of the problems.

So the problem is actually you expect anything at all.

And it's like, I don't know, try.

Like, you know, I think that's much more been the message than absolutely success is guaranteed, given, you know, the state of the U.S.
