You guys were on vacation. We like bombed Iran and a lot of like bad shit happened. And I was like, oh man, what kind of like bad news show do we need to do for this?

We talk about like being sad and disappointed.

But then New York had a mayoral race.

Yeah.

And it seems like it turned out well.

So I asked Dave Weigel, a politics reporter from Semaphore, to join us to, you know, like tell us what's going on.

And I was in New York and covering it.

You could tell that the race is moving in this direction, but legit surprising.

Everybody covering this was surprising, which never happens.

Yeah, it was weird because, like, I remember not maybe two, three weeks ago.

He was, it was just like he was such a long shot that I just thought it was like, you know,

it's kind of fun, you know, having a guy who maybe can't win,

but it is someone we can all, like support.

It just showed like the possibilities of an electoral victory.
