No, and what Andrew Yang is calling for explicitly is he says verbatim.

You know, this is something we used to do.

We used to take people, regardless of their ability to consent or regardless of any consent being given,

we used to make these determinations about people not only being mentally ill, but that their

mental illness makes them unsafe to the quote unquote community, which, you know, is the sort of

designation of you have a community and then you have the mentally ill.

And those are friends as something in opposition to any sort of difference.

Right. And so this is, you know, what he's saying is, okay, here you go.

Like we had this great plan. We had this great, oh my God, I can't believe I'm saying

this even this great plan or we used to scoop up all the quote unquote crazy people

and throw them into an institution and medicate them until we got them to agree to be released

on their, you know, medications.

Whoa.

In reality, what he's talking about is a system where we systematically warehouse people

most often for being poor more than anything else.

Right.

For being poor, for being intellectually disabled, for, you know, being borne down upon by

the full weight of capitalism, right? And then

reacting to the emisseration being caused by capitalism and that reaction being deemed unreasonable.

They're therefore crazy, dangerous, and they need to be removed from society. And in actuality,
