Summary

When he was five, his family moved into his stepfather’s small, early-1900s house near a railroad. Strange events began almost at once: his mother woke one night screaming while a bright, circular light shone on the sliding-door curtain; on another day, a TV played Bambi even though it was unplugged. A family story claimed a young ancestor, killed on the nearby tracks in the 1930s, haunted the home. During renovations, they found an old photo of a little girl inside a wall; the picture would not burn no matter what they tried. A shaman called to cleanse the place stepped onto the porch, heard objects crashing inside, and refused to enter. His advice was simple—tear the house down. Years later, it was.
