The text today comes from the same book of James, James Chapter 2, verse 14 through 20, and then

verse 26. Notice, this is the half-brother of Jesus, James, the Apostle, and he's writing in very,

very practical terms to us the way we can all understand and connect. What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say

you have faith, but don't show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?

Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing and you say, goodbye and have a good

day, stay warm and eat well, but then you don't give that person any food or clothing and you say goodbye and have a good day, stay warm and eat well, but then you don't

give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see faith by itself isn't

enough unless it produces good deeds. It is dead and useless.

Now someone may argue, some people have faith, others have good deeds, but I say, how can you show me your faith if you don't have any good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.

You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God.

Good for you. Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish. Can't you see that

faith without good deeds is useless? Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good

works. We're talking today from the subject, teamwork, teamwork, teamwork. When you have teamwork,

it means that there are teammates.

And so this is just one of them, faith and works.

They are like two wings of the same bird.

And no matter how much you want to just flap one wing,

if you're just flapping saying, I've just got faith and I'm just going to pray and that's all that I'm going to do, but you don't have any works. You won't get off the

ground if it's a bird and if he's just flapping one wing, all that it'll do is cause the bird

to go around in circles just by flapping the wing of faith. And the same is true

if you're just one of those practical people and you just believe in works and you don't have

faith but you're just doing the works, but you don't have faith. You're just still flapping one
