Because I know where my best is and what it feels like. And it's so hard to get there.

It is. I mean, you saying you wanted to get back to those levels, it was probably when you're

coming up against me who couldn't get anywhere near you when you were dribbling out the back

for the ball.

in so many places, at so many levels, and has experienced how the women's game has grown

exponentially over her playing career. Her love of the game is so obvious when you hear her talk,

you can't help but join in on her enthusiasm. There's nothing she loves more than the time she spent playing for Arsenal. The only problem, she supports Manchester United's men's team. And as a gunner through and through, someone who loves Arsenal's women and men's teams, this grievous offense had to be overlooked for the sake of this interview.

It's been a while. It's been a while. And I was

thinking that we have never played together, have we? I mean, we've played against each other a bit through

the years. I mean, through the WPS, which was the Women's Professional League before the NWSL,

definitely played against each other a bunch in the NWSL. And I think probably a handful of times for our respective national teams, but we never

crossed paths on the same team, did we?

We did.
