It was a very depressing performance by team USA. No question about that. I mean, it looked like

they were nervous. They were hesitant, especially on defense. That third goal was an unmitigated

disaster. Goal, he wasn't sure what he was doing. I mean, you know, look, they're a young team.

They got deep into this tournament, which was great. It's been a fun run. I don't think anybody,

because these guys are professionals.

You know, these aren't like college kids all playing.

These are professionals.

These are, you know, this team is probably going to be together the next time the World

Cup comes around in four years.

But I would just say that it was a really disheartening and disjointed performance.

The only way that you could put it.

And I would say that whether Balligan was going to be in the game or he was going to be in

the game, you know, that was all just fodder for Belgium.

And, you know, as we were talking yesterday, I said, if I were the Belgian coach,

while I would maybe outwardly complain a little bit with the way that FIFA handled this whole thing,

internally, I'd be like, you know, these guys are kids.

They don't know what, they haven't seen anything like us yet.

And quite frankly, they just completely controlled the game. And I, you know, it was

really frustrating. You know, it's like watching your hockey game. The games are somewhat similar.

I know there are less players and it's a smaller surface that you play on in hockey, but you still are

trying to get the puck or the ball to the middle of the field and you're trying

to center it to people and you're trying to use these little triangle areas where you're trying
