Summary

Born in Berlin, Karoline Menge moved to Italy with her partner in 2021. Studied literature and writing, started making pottery in 2015 when she was still at Uni, did small jobs to be able to continue making pottery. Karoline opened her own studio in 2018 and started working full time as a potter. Now Karoline works in her studio in a small village called Bogliasco at the Ligurian coast in Italy.

I remember back when we first started, when I first started into podcasting, I mean,

that was my first show that I did was called Doubt the Doubtes was just a business show.

It was brutal to put it out because the thing was about an hour long.

The first few episodes, I think we're all like the same exact question just asked to different people so we always got different answers

but then eventually it just grew into more of a conversational thing and then and then we started

do this thing called pod fade a pod fade is when a podcast is just kind of going and then it just kind of stops producing

slowly and eventually just kind of fades away.

Well, that's what I did with that one because I couldn't keep up the pace.

And then I also started this podcast, the Potter's cast, which ended up kind of being my real sweet spot and just loved doing this one.

So, but back when I first started podcasting, let's just say about ceramics, there was literally two other podcasts that were going. Well, technically there was one

before that, but that one was like a little short-lived. It had like a couple episodes and that

was it. But two real podcasts, people that took ceramics seriously and also took podcasting seriously.
