March chapter two, if you have a Bible,

Mark chapter two, as we near the end of our series

and practice on the Sabbath.

You know, if you've been around the last few months,

you get the gist of Sabbath at least in your mind.

Now all you really need to do is practice it and let it

sink into kind of the fabric of your body. But I was reading recently Adam Grant

in his little book originals where he has a summary of all the recent data around

communication theory and he just makes the point that most leaders and

organizations under-communicate by a margin of 10, meaning if myself and our

teaching team we teach on something five times like in order for

it to sink into our community we actually need to teach on it 50 times so you know

what rather than jump back into Matthew there was just a bunch of kind of odd change in my note file about stuff I wanted to say and I thought I would just kind of put that into a teaching and end with some closing thoughts on

Sabbath as we move forward. A few weeks ago, a couple who's new to our church came up to me after

the gathering and said, you you know how is it that

we have been around the church our entire life and yet we've never heard most of

this and I said man that was my experience as well.

Sabbath was not even on my radar in my,

grew up in the church, and son of a pastor, all of that

was not even on my radar until my mid-20s
