It's March 29th, 26, and I want to walk you through some of the most disturbing

headlines connected to Baptist churches, evangelical schools, camps, and fundamentalist families

during the month of March. As always, this report has two purposes. First, it's to catch you up

on major stories that you just might have missed. But second, I hope the sheer volume of these

stories leads to deeper conversations

about religious systems that normalize and protect blatant abuse.

Oh, ain't nobody safe

A pastor appeared to be shown on video pushing a female elder down cement steps outside

a Buella Land Missionary Baptist Church in Gardena, California.

The incident took place on October 7, 2025, and the pastor,

Lawrence Roseman, was arrested the same day. He was released two days later, after promising

that he would appear in court. His alleged victim, Elise McTaw, fractured her wrist and toes as a result

of the fall. Roseman has continued preaching at the church, but not without controversy. On March 1st,

2026, a group of church members and activists gathered outside the church to protest his continued

ministry efforts. Roseman maintains that a judge dismissed the entire ordeal as frivolous and suggests

that this entire situation is a result of disgruntled congregants, quote-unquote, weaponizing the legal system against him.
