I fly ball into right field. She is gone. Over the past week, parenting has been on my mind a lot.

Now, in many ways, that's nothing new.

I have been a parent for 33 years, and we still have five children in our home.

But it has been on my mind more because the Lord in his good

providence has brought it to my attention on numerous occasions and also allowed me to see it

myself in a wedding and a wedding reception. So Saturday I had the privilege of going to a wedding, a wedding between a young man and a young woman who I know and love and appreciate.

And during the reception, an opportunity was given for people to come up and to speak to and about this newly married couple.
