Summary

All of life in a fallen world will require us to be patient, to rule over our impatient spirits, to rule our spirit. We do not walk by emotions, or desires, but we learn to walk in obedience to the path God has given. Then, His reward will be sure and generous.

privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every week

0:19.0

to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement, and I am just so glad that you're here today.

Thanks so much for joining me.

1:45.6

get weary. They shall walk and not faint. We understand these verses so well, but it's just not something

1:51.4

that is natural to my personality. I was reading, looking some research up on this, and in the Oxford

1:59.6

dictionary, it defines patience as this. The capacity,

2:03.7

which all of us have the capacity, my friends, to accept or tolerate delay. Oh my goodness,

2:10.9

do I have to accept it? Do I have to tolerate it? That's kind of how I normally do it.

2:16.7

My patience is tolerating something, but not necessarily always having the best attitude.

2:23.9

So to accept or tolerate delay problems or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.

2:32.6

So the true foundational understanding of patience is to wait on something,

2:40.8

to look for something to come in the future, to live in the moment today with joy,

2:48.1

cultivating beauty, creating the things that matter without becoming annoyed
