Hello, my wonderful friends and my membership.

Oh, my goodness, aren't we all, at least I hope, a little bit excited that we are able to go into this beautiful Advent season, this Christmas season, depending on who you talk to and what background they're from,

in which we might enjoy the beautiful sparkling lights.

Some wonderful for me, my favorite Christmas cookie.

There's two.

One is what we call snowballs, which are the lots of butter, pecans, a little bit of salt,

a little bit of flour, and rolled in the cooked, baked and then rolled in powdered sugar.

And then I just love sugar cookies with icing on them.

I also love sticky toffee pudding.

So those are some of the things, and I'll probably share that on my podcast at some point, too.

But I had in mind today, I'm going to actually be reading something from a life-giving home,

but a little bit more from my personal perspective, because I thought this month as I give you this kind of encouragement, Bible study,

talk, so to speak, that I might go back to one of the chapters in the Lifegiving Home

because I'm thinking about this right before Thanksgiving here in Oxford with my family where we are getting ready to host a whole bunch of

people in the midst of a very busy life for Thanksgiving. And then I will fly home to see my
