Hello, my precious wonderful friends.

This is Sally Clarkson, and I am absolutely so happy that you joined me today.

If you are listening to this currently at the time that I'm recording it,

you will know that I am recording this the week before Thanksgiving, 2020.

And so I know that this is a busy time. Everyone is getting ready for life.

They're trying to figure out how in the world they are going to fix all the food.

And as it happens with the Clarkson,

we have generally not been around our family in the holiday seasons. And that's always been a little bit of a difficulty for us. And so we have wonderful friends who have included us

in their lives over the years.

But today, early today, I don't know how you're feeling because I used to make everything,

you know, all 10,000 courses.

But today I have found this friend who has a business of making very kind of fresh organic sort of things.

And I got up early to go to her shop.

And I said, please don't have sold out of the amazing, wonderful pies,

because I need for you to have made it, not me. So we're all scrambling, aren't we,

to make those memories to cover all the bases. And I'm thinking a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot about

what it means to be thankful this time of year. But as most of you know, I've been reading through my book for some of the podcasts,

and I only read through a very little part of it. In other words, there are usually much more

to the chapter. There's discussion questions.

There's food for thought at the end of each chapter with lots more applications.

So someday, someday soon, I might just take the project of reading all of the books that I have never put on tape.
