It is lovely to be back here. It just seems like that time of year. Lent is happening.

It's time to go to St. Ignatius and talk about something for 45 minutes. As you heard, I've been to this parish, four years, five years

in a row, I think it's lovely. It's a bit like a home away from home. As you heard, I drove up from

San Diego, but those of you who haven't heard me before will realize that this is not a San Diego

accent. I am from England, but I have lived here for, I think, about 12 years now.

So I live here, I work, I pay taxes, and yet I'm still not allowed to vote.

And I'm sure all of the members of the United States will agree with me that taxation without representation isn't very fair.

I don't know which government could possibly ever come up with that idea.

There are probably three things that you need to know about me.

The first is that I have a blog. It's called Restlessphilgram.net. I've written three things that you need to know about me. The first is that I have a blog, it's called Restlessfieldroom.net.

I've written at it for at least a decade now.

I write about sacred scripture, church history, and apologetics, and whatever is on my mind.

I always say it's a cheaper of therapy.

The other thing to know about me is that I

have a podcast. It's called Pints with Jack. And together with my co-host, we are working

our way chapter by chapter through the works of C.S. Lewis. So far, we've done

mere Christianity, The Great Divorce. This season, we're just finishing up his novel, till we have faces.

And next season, we're going to be reading through the Scrutic letters, which is going

to be our primary source for tonight.
